These things only happen a couple times a day, but are inconvenient enough that I want to stop it. I try to click in a text box to type, and it pastes whatever is on the clipboard. I didn't even really realize that I could middle-click with this touchpad (SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad). Ever since I upgraded I have had an issue with random middle-clicks being registered.
I recently reinstalled, upgrading from 14.04 with Unity. My laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad 430 running Ubuntu Gnome 16.04.
